  • I fear many dead bodies will be walked over before China has a Minister for IP...
  • Good point. I take ICM from a commercial point of view; creation of value and reduction of risks and thus as an integrated part of innovation. So, as China has decided to be a knowledge society, ICM must be the way of transforming this knowledge to value for society, for business.
But - who is responsible? Hmm. The rumored coming ministry for creation of IP, perhaps?
  • Thank you. We have always received interest 'in principle' from government counterparts in Guangdong - but little in the way of concrete follow-up. No-one seems certain what discipline ICM belongs to, which always inhibits the dissemination of an idea in China.
  • This is really interesting stuff. I have been making seminars on IC Management in Shenzhen and Shantou (a little north of Hong Kong) lately and have found very good reception of the concept. The Hong Kong initiative is certainly helping in paving the way for IC acceptance.
  • Stephen- We have created a new category for programs--you might want to add this post there too!
